Wayne was raised in New York State. After high school he attended and graduated from the United States Air Force Academy and continued to serve the United States as a fighter pilot, operations staff officer and commander. He flew in combat in the Vietnam War as well as served in numerous US and overseas assignments during his 31-year Air Force career.
After retirement, Wayne was selected as the Executive Director of two affordable housing not-for-profit corporations and then as the Regional Housing Director for Catholic Charities in St. Petersburg. During that 12-year period, Wayne was actively involved in homeownership opportunities for low-to-moderate income individuals and families in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. He has experience in new construction, home rehabilitation and resale of HUD and VA owned properties, as well as various government provided down payment and closing cost assistance programs.
Wayne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering science from USAFA and a Master of Arts degree in international relations from the University of the Americas in Mexico City, Mex. In addition to serving with Fiduciary Funding, he actively maintains an FAA pilot’s license, serves as an officer of the Seminole Breakfast Kiwanis Club, and is a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, National Rifle Association and military fraternal organizations. He is passionate about helping other veterans through their homeownership journey.
Wayne is married to Kathy Brooker of Brandon, FL, and they have seven grown children and nine grandchildren.
